The Magic Circle Headquarters – London’s most magical venue, played host to The Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year grand finals recently.
Stage magicians competing for the prestigious title included Etienne Pradier, Justin Monehen and Richard Pinner. Judging this year was Jimmy Perry OBE, scriptwriter and creator of Dad’s Army, author and TV producer John Fisher, and former Stage Magician of the Year, Duncan Trillo.
The title went to John Archer (pictured), who performed his magic comedy act, featuring some hilarious mind reading. In second place, was Michael Vadini, whose act included magically producing smoke, using a spoon as pipe! Third place went to ‘The Man of Steal’ James Freedman who wowed the audience with his famous comedy pickpocket act.
