In fact our performers have entertained guests at all kinds of event from a private party at Buckingham Palace to a launch party for five thousand at the Millennium Dome.

Of course, we've been to a Christmas party, bar mitzvah party, office party and birthday party or two as well! That’s why we always work with every party organiser to make sure we give you the best advice so you can choose the most suitable entertainment for your particular event.

"Please thank all the magicians for making our company party such a success. The only problem I have now is how to top it next year!" Christmas Party Organiser, Deloitte LLP

Our party entertainment is designed for all kinds of audiences at all kinds of party. Walkabout party performers (sometimes called mix-and-mingle, tableside, or close-up magicians) entertain small groups of guests without intruding and helping to build the particular party atmosphere that you want. Because of this, walkabout party entertainment is the perfect choice for corporate hospitality too.

Stage and platform party entertainers are best used after a meal to entertain guests as a whole audience before they depart (or dance!) We are often asked"How do I choose a magician for my party?" Well, here are our top tips for choosing the perfect entertainment for your event:

First, are you sure a magician is the right kind of entertainer? We’d rather give you the right advice than the wrong entertainment! If you want to hire a party magician then do remember that not all magicians are the same! Consider the kind of party atmosphere you want to achieve, the type and number of guests, budget, location, theme and the reason for the party then look at a number of different magicians (ask for videos and showreels) to find a party magician that fits your plan.

Second, do go to a reputable supplier. Word of mouth recommendation from someone you know is the best way to find someone suitable. But if you are using the internet or a directory than do ask for references and ask lots of questions. What if they're ill on the day? Can they provide a copy public liability insurance certificate? Where have they worked recently? Who are past happy clients? A reputable supplier will always issue a written contract before the event – don’t make a payment without one.

Third, ask about fees. Hiring a magician is no different to buying other services - you get what you pay for. Remember the cheapest option may be just that…cheap! If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. So do let your common sense prevail.
